SharePoint & Dataverse

This is the information architecture underneath everything else we build. Business Management System (BMS) content, knowledge bases and structured data live here, not scattered across shared drives and inboxes.

Usually the first thing we fix, even when it's not the most visible

SharePoint and Dataverse are Microsoft's document management and structured data platforms - SharePoint for content and collaboration, Dataverse for structured, relational business data.

Most of the problems we see - knowledge walking out the door, inconsistent processes, data nobody trusts - trace back to information that has no proper home. Getting this layer right is usually where we start, because it's what Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI and Copilot Studio all end up built on top of.

What this looks like in practice

Business Management System (BMS) architecture that's actually navigable, not a folder structure nobody can find their way around
Structured data models in Dataverse that make later automation and reporting possible
Permissions and governance that protect sensitive information without making it hard to find the rest
Migration from legacy shared drives, old SharePoint versions or informal systems
The foundation everything else - apps, automation, reporting, AI agents - is built on top of
